TechArt’s Porsche Cayenne Turbo S Magnum Sport Edition Dips Into Hellcat-ish 720 Horsepower Territory

TechArt, the noted Porsche tuner, applied their talents and produced a more potent Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Offered as a Magnum Sport Edition, this vehicle now has a massive 720 horses and 678 lb-ft of torque, dipping on the Hellcat-ish horsepower territory.

The German tuner TechArt managed to tweak and add some 150 horses and 88 lb-ft of torque to the 4.8-liter, twin turbocharged V8 engine that already delivers 570 horses and 590 lb-ft of torque. Overall, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S Magnum Sport Edition now has an impressive 720 hp and 678 lb-ft of torque.

But how was this possible? This Hellcat-ish horsepower was achieved with changes to the turbochargers, engine control software, and exhaust system. According to TechArt, there are two stages to deliver the vehicle's power. First is during normal operation, wherein 650 horses will be available under full load.

When the driver hits the "Sport" button on the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S Magnum Sport Edition, then the impressive, and full, 720 horses will be unleashed between 5,400 and 6,000 rpm. Also, the oil and coolant systems have been tweaked and a performance air filter has been added.

However, despite the extra horses and torque bump, the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S Magnum Sport Edition's 0 to 60 mph is the same time as that of the standard Cayenne Turbo S with optional Sport Chrono package at 3.8 seconds. Note that the stock can only get up to 176 mph, while the tuned one can climb up to 193 mph.

Power boost and engine tweaks aren't the only thing the tuners had in mind. Of course, the interior received a two-tone treatment matched with tones of carbon fiber trim.

Meanwhile, the outside was also "improved" by TechArt. Porsche Cayenne Turbo S was outfitted with a 3-part front splitter and additional winglets for air intakes. Plus, there's a bulging carbon fiber hood with 2 air outlets. Buyers get to choose between an original paint color in matte or high-gloss carbon fiber finish for the hood.

TechArt's new kit features include a rear diffuser, roof spoiler, and side air outlets. The Porsche Cayenne Turbo S Magnum Sport Edition sports 22-inch TechArt Formula IV wheels that come with color-coordinated brake callipers.

Pricing hasn't been announced as of this writing, although you can head out to TechArt's official website for additional details on the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S Magnum Sport Edition. Don't forget to check out the teaser video of the tuned up Cayenne.
