2018 SEAT Ibiza: Still, One Of The Best Family Cars Ever Created Up Today

The 2018 SEAT Ibiza made its public debut at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, and its pre-sales has already started, and first cars will be delivered in June 2017. This model is said to be another step up for the company as the biggest product offensive ever carried out.

This new Ibiza shows off its noticeable increase of its interior space which is now more robust and much safer. If the new Ibiza is compared to its previous model, it is stunningly wider by 87 mm, 2 mm lower and shorter while conveying a powerful image that hugs the ground. The factor that made the company achieved this development is the new MQB A0 platform.

"SEAT is in a phase of consolidation and growth, and we are working to become one of the most dynamic organizations in our industry," says by the Chairman of the Executive Committee of SEAT, Luca de Meo, "The new SEAT Ibiza will make a great leap forward for the brand, and it is bringing about a turning point in the segment". He added.

SEAT was able to acquire their best financial outcome in its history just last year with 143 million euros of operating profit and a total of 232 million euros profit after tax. Engines available for the 2018 SEAT Ibiza comply with Euro6 emissions regulation which leads in performance with outstanding features, low emissions, and high mileage.

Meanwhile, there are also a variety of aluminum block and cylinder petrol engines to choose from. First one of the options is the three cylinder 1.0 MPI that produces 65 to 75 of horsepower. The next one is the 1.0 TSI with 95 to 115 PS that also comes along with a turbo compressor, direct injection, and intercooler.

An efficient 1.6 TDI diesel engine is also offered in different varieties from 80, 95, and 115 PS. As to the new MQB A0 platform, it allows the New Ibiza to provide a compressed-natural-gas-powered 1.0 TSI 90 PS engine. With that said, SEAT is the first car maker to offer this type of engine in this class.

When it comes to the gearboxes, available options are a manual 5-speed transmission for the 95 PS and lower engines, and a 6-speed transmission for engines that are more powerful. An additional gearbox option is also added which is the dual-clutch DSG 7-speed.

SEAT's most iconic model will hit the road showcasing an all-new styling with the same youthful, functional, sporty, and very comfortable spirit as what they are capable of offering over the years. The 2018 SEAT Ibiza design reflects the brand's unique DNA with an edgier, sportier design that features more of its sculpted, exciting, and streamlined surfaces with attractive accents.
