Toyota Prius Recently Bags Two Awards! Toyota Fortuner Won Too!

Toyota Prius earned two awards from two different prestigious award-giving bodies. It is a triple victory for the automaker as the Toyota Fortuner also won an award.

Toyota Prius has recently earned the "Future of Motoring" award at the 2017 Middle East Car of the Year (MECOTY). Aside from the hybrid, the Toyota Fortuner has also bagged the "Best Midsize SUV" award from MECOTY.

Toyota Motor Corporation chief representative Takayuki Yoshitsugu shared that the "Future of Motoring" award is a proof of the automaker's vision that hybrid cars "can make a difference to our future mobility" as well as the wellbeing of the planet Earth.

The chief also boasts that the "Best Midsize SUV" award for the Toyota Fortuner shows how the model has broken the rules in its range. In addition, Takayuki Yoshitsugu detailed that the award proves the prominent position that Fortuner is currently dominating.

Furthermore, Takayuki Yoshitsugu mentioned that Toyota continues to be passionate in pursuing automotive excellence because of the empowering loyalty and support of their customers. The chief ended his statement with an expression of appreciation to their valued customers for continually trusting Toyota and for encouraging them to produce "ever-better cars."

Meanwhile, the Toyota Prius has also received another award from another prestigious award-giving body. The hybrid was named the "2017 World Green Car" at the New York International Auto Show.

The "2017 World Green Car" title has been awarded to Toyota for two consecutive years already. Last year, it was the Toyota Mirai that was named "2016 World Green Car."

There were 12 new models from around the globe that were enlisted in the category. Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid has stood out and bagged the prestigious "World Green Car" title.

Jack Hollis, group vice president and general manager of Toyota division, shared that the "World Green Car" title proves the automaker's vision in producing quality hybrids. Jack Hollis detailed that Toyota pursues to develop products that will meet the mobility needs of the customers and stir the emotions as well.
