2018 Audi S4 And S5 Review: Intelligent Gadgets Plus More Power Underneath

The 2018 Audi S4 and S5 will win the hearts of many because of its powerful specs underneath. Passengers will especially like the latest technology features as well.

Audi siblings S4 sedan and S5 coupe have a lot of similarities. Both models were offered as an all-wheel-drive system.

The two models feature the Premium base trim level. Audi offers Premium Plus and Prestige for the two models only.

Both the S4 and S5 have the intelligent key, where ignition and locking system is keyless. There is also the Audi Drive Select featuring Comfort, Auto, Dynamic and Individual modes.

The siblings sport a full LED for its headlights, DRLs and taillights. The two models also feature auto-dimming mirrors, rearview camera, and a sunroof.

On the inside, the Audi S4 and S5 boast of its heated leather front sport seats which have the eight-way adjustability and diamond stitching. The rear seats are 40/20/40 split-folding.

The infotainment system is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible. There is also an HD radio, Bluetooth, satellite.

Both sports the Audi MMI Navigation Plus with touch, a top-view camera system, and a color head-up display. There is also the brand's benchmark reconfigurable virtual cockpit instrumental panel.

Safety comes first as well in the two models. The safety features include side bolsters and low-speed automatic braking.

Underneath, the 2018 Audi S4 and S5 run with a re-engineered 3.0-liter V-6 turbocharged engine. Both models sport the 8-speed automatic transmission which shifts smoothly and quickly like the seven-speed twin-clutcher of the previous models.

Meanwhile, the difference between the 2018 Audi S4 and S5 is minimal in terms of body size. There is a 2.4-inch difference in wheelbase. The S4 is 2.1 inches longer while the S5 is an inch wider and lower.

In terms of space, the coupe is 1.3 inch smaller in rear headroom. It is also 3.0 inches smaller in legroom.

Furthermore, the S4 sedan has a standard 19-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, whereas the S5 coupe offers this as an optional feature.
