Facelifted 2017 Dacia Duster: Reasonable Or Not?

The facelifted 2017 Dacia Duster has mixed reviews by industry experts. In terms of its price, some think that it is every money's worth while good number says one gets what they paid for and just that. The most important feature, however, is its interior that's meant to last a long time.

The facelifted 2017 Dacia Duster shares its underpinnings with the rest of its vehicles such as the Logan and Sandero. It is offered for $12,165 in the UK and is considered good value for money. It is important to note, though, that it may not be as what industry experts expect it would be. It does have relatively softer suspension but does not provide comfortable long-distance driving experience.

Sound deadening has to also be amped up as there is considerable noise in the cabin. At high speeds, the wind also adds to the noise. It is also reviewed to be intimidating and scary because of its handling. It is not advisable to take it to destinations involving long and winding roads.

The facelifted 2017 Dacia Duster may need to have more legroom. Ample passenger space may not be part of its strengths. Its air conditioning system also needs more improvement as its technology is lagging behind the vehicles of its kind which are recently released.

Good news, however, as the two engines are well received by experts. The 1.5-liter dCi diesel is powerful and economical (as expected for most diesel). The 1.2-liter turbo petrol returns 37 UK mpg which is considered a better alternative to diesel.

Not to worry, though. If the facelifted 2017 Dacia Duster doesn't make the cut, waiting for the new Dacia Grand Duster which is expected to be launched in the second semester of 2018 maybe a better idea. This is definitely a better version of the facelifted and one must just wait for it for at least a year from now.

It will stay true to the Romanian car manufacturer's philosophy: great value for the money. At the end of the day, it all depends on the consumer. While the facelifted 2017 Dacia Duster may not be a complete package, it still is a good SUV.
