MG E-Motion To Electrify 2020 Market

After its preview at the Shanghai Auto Show, Morris Garage confirmed to bring the E-Motion into production by the year 2020, signaling the comeback of the car manufacturer in the sports car market. MG leaked only a few details about the car but surely it would be an all-electric vehicle. With its electric powertrain, MG claims that the electric grand tourer can sprint from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in under 4 seconds and can run a range of 310 miles (498 km) on a full charge.

The front of the concept is the most intriguing element of the sports car especially when touched with a British element signified by the matrix LED headlamps with incorporated LED daytime running lights mirroring the reflection of the London Eye Ferris Wheel on the River Thames. Its front grille also includes a matte silver border, imitating Mercedes-Benz' 'Diamond' grille, with dotted patterns in place of the traditional mesh.

From the rear, the grand tourer has a vertical set of taillights, a gently tapered window, a glass roof and a fascinating bumper design. However, a carbon fiber rear diffuser, a retractable rear spoiler, and completely glass canopy extending the full length of the car.

The car is themed with flowing, graceful curves instead of abrupt edges, to alter the existing models' angry look and give it a friendlier aura including its new logo design. The interior trim took inspiration from Hermes' adaptation of the Apple watch with its brown leather and also the metal finish. The 'butterfly' doors enhance the glamor of the car.

Aside from transformed architecture perspective, MG also has new energy system available. This E-motion model plays an important role as it pioneers the future design language for the company.
