2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Spotted With More Mature, Revamped Styling

The 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe is already driving around prior to its intended release next year. The large SUV has been spied testing in Germany, near the company's development center in the country.

The Santa Fe will start appearing in showrooms in late 2017 and when it is officially revealed, car enthusiasts can expect it to ditch the curves of the current model. The vehicle that was spotted has adopted a boxy design in an effort to look more mature.

Moreover, the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe is sporting the company's newest cascading grille that is expected to appear in its latest lineup. The hexagonal design comes along with LED strips sitting on top of each headlight.

At the back, double exhaust-pipe outlets can be seen plus two slim LED taillights. The wheels here have black sporty alloy rims, hinting that the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe that was spotted is a high-end version.

Because of the heavy camouflage, there is not much that can be discovered when it comes to its design. Fans, however, can expect stronger character lines in contrast to the current Santa Fe model's styling that was last updated in the 2013 model year.

Under the hood, heavy revisions are also expected. The current 2.2-liter turbo-diesel will likely be upgraded with improved emissions. The 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe should be offering various engine choices including gas, diesel, and plug-in hybrid. There should also be both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive offerings.

As the new Santa Fe is looking to move upmarket, the inside should be premium as well. An improved infotainment system with the standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay can be expected along with choices of nicer trims.

The arrival of the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe is much anticipated. The car is going five years without a refreshed design, so the auto community is looking forward to its revamped styling and new offerings.
