2017 Chevrolet Colorado: A Minimalist Yet Powerful Pick-up Truck

When it comes to the midsize truck segment, the 2017 Chevrolet Colorado is sure to turn some heads. The truck combines all the conventional trappings of a standard truck and wrapped in a façade that is rather low-key and minimalist in nature.

The 2017 Chevrolet Colorado, with its massive firepower, can get you from point A to point B at no time at all. However, the most standout feature of the truck is its towing power which is currently rated at 7,700 pounds. It requires quite a massive engine in order to post such spec.

The 2017 Chevrolet Colorado is available in three different trims: the base model, World Truck, LT, and Z71. Each trim is uniquely designed to cater to every trucking needs.

The base model of the 2017 Colorado is more than enough to fulfill basic towing needs. This particular model comes with a six-speed manual transmission and the standard revised V6 engine. Inside, this model packs power windows, a 4.2-inch display, bucket seats, floor covering and vinyl upholstery, according to The Washington Times.

The top of the line model, the Z71, packs all the trappings of its siblings and much more. It comes in two engine option. One model has a 3.6-liter V6 engine with 308 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. This model comes equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The other model packs a 2.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine. The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. This model packs 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft worth of torque.

The 2017 Chevrolet Colorado is equipped with standard safety and tech features. It has anti-lock brakes, side-impact and overhead airbags, and stability control. In terms of mileage, the 2017 Colorado has a rating of 18mpg for city and 25mpg for highway.
