2018 Audi R8 Sport Edition: Positioned At The Top Of The Brand's Sporting Segment

2018 Audi R8 Sport Edition has made its public debut at the 2017 New York Auto Show last April 14-23, 2017. It is the new name given for Audi's Quattro performance subsidiary which is also called as the R8 V10 Audi Sport Edition.

The new model comes with a new look that showcases a richly trimmed interior. This new special R8 is one of the brand's exclusive propositions. It is offered in both 540-horsepower R8 V10 and 610-horsepower R8 V10.

The bright red-colored blades on the sides of the car are one of the most attractive elements of the 2018 Audi R8 Sport Edition. The said modules provide the car a striking effect with the subdue silver color. Meanwhile, black and white exterior colors are also available. The 20-inch forged aluminum wheels are finished with glossy black that features silver accent and a subtle Audi logo.

The model's Sport seats are covered with black and red nappa leather with an embossed R8 logo with a glossy carbon finish. As to the car's steering wheel, it is flat-bottomed covered with leather and a three-spoke design that is standard for this model. Side mirrors, as well as brake calipers, are also painted in red. Its door sills are illuminated with a 1/200 inscription and stitched with a dark silver stitching.

As said earlier, the R8 is available in 540-horsepower R8 V10 and 610-horsepower R8 V10 plus guises. The famous V10 mid-engine start-up through one satellite control button and the driver uses the second button to adjust Audi's dynamic handling system. There are also two additional buttons that are used to control the exhaust flaps and performance modes that include three more driving programs (dry, wet, and snow).

The R8 adapts the handling even more precisely to several road conditions. There will only produce over 200 2018 Audi R8 Sport Edition, and orders can be placed worldwide. Orders will be accepted this coming May 2017.
