Kia Niro Gets Two Thumbs Up For Its Amazing Design And Power

Kia Niro is creating a lot of buzz because of its small dynamic crossover-style that has a gas-electric hybrid front. The car has a small and efficient gasoline engine and an electric generator that interests enthusiasts.

It has a130 horsepower and 196 lb. ft. of torque, giving it the ability to drive on steep slopes during winter time. The car also has an impressive highway speed and smooth cruising ability.

Kia Niro has a distinctive form similar to the shape and size of an SUV, giving it a more practical and full-hybrid alternative. Aside from that, the car also has a six-speed and double-clutch automatic transmission.

It has the looks and feels of a regular automobile. Therefore, it really doesn't look that much different than a regular car that is actually not a surprise because it is built to blend in.

According to a previous report, the car is build based on a compact hybrid vehicle platform that is somewhat similar to Hyundai Ioniq. It also has a more spacious passenger and cargo cabin.

It might look like a crossover SUV but it is lower and more wagon-like than its competitors. Kia Niro could actually be an alternative to Toyota Corolla iM and Ford Focus Hatchback.

Even though, it is smaller than other crossovers like Chevrolet Trax, Honda HR-V, Mitsubishi Outlander Sport and Fiat 500X. Its seat height is higher by an inch and a half than a typical compact sedan, giving enough head and leg room to tall adults.

Of course, the car is an eco-friendly car like Kia Optima hybrid. It has a four-cylinder engine with an AC electric motor that has a six-speed automatic transaxle.

It also has an Atkinson-cycle engine that has a 1.6 liter four cylinders with an exhaust-heat recovery and dual cooling circuits. This engine has the ability to make 104 horsepower and 109 lb. ft of torque.

The car operates with 40 percent thermal efficiency with a six-speed dual-clutch unit. It also has two hydraulically actuated multiplate dry clutches that easily launches and shifts. Kia Niro has been on sale since last January with a starting price of $23,000.
