“Pokemon Go” Eggstravaganza Is Live; Study Found Players Of Augmented-Reality Game Lead Satisfactory & Positive Lives

"Pokemon Go" has released another of its themed events, this time focusing on none other than Easter, of course. Called "Eggstravaganza," it was launched on April 13 at 1 p.m. PT and is slated to run until April 20 at 1 p.m.

Expect to find a wider range of Pokemons hatching from 2 km eggs. They will be the most common Eggs to find during this event including some not-so-impressive ones.

In addition, there will be XP bonuses and discounts, as players are set to earn double for the "Pokemon Go" Eggstravaganza, regardless of what they do. To top that off, additional Candy will be given out for hatching eggs, as Niantic has understood that players of "Pokemon Go" are just like kids, we want candy!

Meanwhile, Lucky eggs are selling at 50% off in order to maximize the experience. And new prices are also in full such as 8 Lucky Eggs, 250 coins; 25 Lucky Eggs, 625 coins.

Niantic has not disclosed which Pokemons will be hatched for the "Pokemon Go" Eggstravaganza. But let's hope that the likes of Lapras, Chansey, Snorlax, and Sudo will make their appearance.

The "Pokemon Go" Eggstravaganza is the first promo launched by Niantic since last month's Water Festival. That event in a way brought a number of players back hoping to nab the shiny and elusive Magikarp.

In other "Pokemon Go" news, a recent study conducted by the University of Wisconsin has shown that players of the augmented-reality game lead satisfactory and positive lives. This is partly because the game allows players to go out and also exercise.

Researcher James Alex Bonus explained: "For the most part, the Pokemon Go players said more about positive things that were making them feel their life was more worthwhile, more satisfactory, and making them more resilient." He added: "The more people were playing, the more they were engaging in behaviors that reflected making new connections - making Facebook friends, introducing themselves to someone new, exchanging phone numbers with someone, or spending more time with old friends and learning new things about them."

Niantic should be more than pleased with these findings as the "Pokemon Go" Eggstravaganza event isn't the only thing making players happy. Perhaps, other games should take a page from Niantic's book and modify their games.
