The 2018 Honda Odyssey Surpasses The Honda CR-V?

The new 2018 Honda Odyssey is all new this year, and it highlights some styling tweaks that makes the van more like a tall wagon than an all-around bus. Along with an updated look, updated mechanics, and a full complement of connected and safety features, the new Odyssey takes back its place as a minivan benchmark.

Executive Vice President of American Honda Motor Co. Inc, John Mendel, said; "This new Odyssey raises the stakes for family-friendly packaging, performance, and technology in the minivan segment." In all aspects of its design, the new Odyssey is made to keep every member of the family happy, no matter the seating position, no matter the destination."

The Honda Odyssey is the new generation of premium vehicles. It has integrated premium technologies such as highly configurable seats and climate control system. The new Odyssey also provides a stunning segment that is similar to the Honda CR-V.

The 2018 Honda Odyssey is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that makes 280 hp. It is available in two new transmissions- a nine-speed automatic and a 10-speed automatic. It will be the first kind in a minivan, giving it a more confident and refined performance.

On the interior, the new Odyssey gets high-grade materials such as a soft-touch instrumental panel. The meter has a brand new 7-inch full-color TFT display, while the center dashboard features an 8-inch high-resolution Display Audio touchscreen interface.

The automaker has also made the seating of the new Odyssey a more flexible with its new Magic Slide seats. The middle seat is removed so the other two seats can easily slide to the side and lock into one of five selectable positions.

In addition, the new minivan also is loaded with new technologies. It features a new Cabin Watch System that uses a camera to view the passengers, and at night, it uses an infrared vision on the large central display. Drivers can also now utilize the Cabin Talk to communicate with second and third-row passengers through stereo speakers or the back entertainment system headphones.

Other features of the new 2018 Honda Odyssey include a heated and ventilated front seat, stain-resistant leather, wireless device charging, three-zone climate control, a hands-free power liftgate and the HondaVac located at the rear cargo area. It also has an in-car Wi-Fi feature, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the optional rear infotainment system that comes with a 10.2-inch drop down the display.
