Last weekend, Tesla unveiled new images of its exclusive solar panels that were made by Panasonic. There were placed in the company's updated "Energy" section of its official website. Since much attention has been paid on the company's products that focused on solar roof tiles, they have a new roof segment for the market.

This new product apparently will shape the future of the company as it moves forward with trying to innovate ways to provide clean energy. Now, since not many homeowners do not want to rip off their roof just have renewable energy, the company has devised another way around this.

According to Tesla, the new solar panels will have "integrated front skirts and no visible mounting hardware." This would allow the panels to be relatively slick and unintrusive. They would simply go on top of your existing roof.

Tesla's new solar panels will be manufactured at the company's factory and this will be done by no other than Panasonic. In fact, the new venture is part of Tesla's deal with Panasonic at Gigafactory 2 in Buffalo. "I think this is really a fundamental part of achieving differentiated product strategy," said Elon Musk when first announcing that Tesla is working on such project.

Also, Tesla added that they will use these panels for the new residential projects they have, other than the tiles. Thus, this could become a mainstream future in the energy tech with Tesla paving the way.
