LG G6 Is A Great Alternative To Samsung Galaxy S8

LG’s latest flagship, the G6, stands a fighting chance against Samsung. It can be the considerable alternative as your next Android phone. The G6 comes at a cheaper price and it is available right now!

According to Beta News, LG is not only competing against its past self, but with other phone makers such as Samsung, HTC, and Apple. Their latest flagship, the G6, comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, 32GB of storage which is expandable with micro SD, 3,300mAh battery and it has Android 7.0 Nougat as an operating system. Much like the Galaxy S8, the LG G6 has thin bezels that put the screen as the star of the show, but unlike Samsung, the screen does not curve on the sides. Speaking of the screen, the G6 comes with 5.7-inch display, and thanks to its overall small body it feels like just holding a display and the apps in the hand.

The fingerprint sensor is on the back just below the dual 13-megapixel camera. The biggest problem with the position of the fingerprint sensor is that you have to pick up the phone in order to unlock it with biometrics. On top of that, the back of the phone has a weird plastic coating that takes away from the premium feel. The 13-megapixel camera is capable of shooting great images even in low-light conditions. The front 5-megapixel camera comes with a great wide view which is perfect for taking selfies with a bunch of friends.

Overall, the built quality is great, and the G6 sports the MIL-STD 810G military rating that gives the user extra confidence for drops. It also has an IP68 rating which means the phone can be submerged in water of approximately 5 feet for 30 minutes. The battery is perfectly capable of lasting during the day, and it can be charged via the USB-C port or wirelessly.

According to CNET, there are many reasons that you should get the LG G6 than the Galaxy S8. Main reason is the price. The G6 costs about $600 to $720 (depends on retailers), while the S8 costs about $750. On top of that, the G6 is available now and LG presents a solid alternative to the S8.
