Samsung Gear S3: What To Get With The Value Pack Update?

Samsung Gear S3 is now made even more comprehensive because of its Value Pack update. This update enables the smartwatch to provide more in-depth and specific fitness tracking which is best suited for those who are all too particular with their workout progression and development.

The Value Pack update has been made available for both Samsung Gear S3 and S2 users. It is mainly geared towards fitness and reminders such that all visual information like charts is provided in the workout results window. The updated Samsung Health interface explains the amount of time spent in heart-rate zones in detail.

The Reminder app is also updated with S Voice. The Find My Gear option received an update as it now enables the user to lock any misplaced Samsung Gear S3. Information like email address or phone number can be remotely sent to the S3 to the lock screen.

The Altimeter/Barometer are also made even simpler. A simple swipe is all it takes to navigate the News Briefing screen. The stopwatch limit has also been increased from only one hour to three hours.

The Samsung Gear S3 is the Korean tech giant's answer to Apple Watch. It has become legendary in its own right for being able to provide features that can match or even surpass the capabilities of the Apple Watch. However, it also has its fair share of critics as one device, no matter how advanced, will still not be liked by some.

For one, Samsung Gear S3 is reviewed to be extremely big especially for those with smaller wrists. However, this feedback may also work for its advantage as big watches are currently the trend, but for how long? Apple Watch is slim and sleek, making it even go well with formal and corporate attire.

Industry experts also review Samsung Gear S3 for having lackluster character. It has been said that other rivals are better looking and are more capable than the Gear device. At the end of the day, everyone's a critic. With the Value Pack update, critics may change their minds as to what the Gear S3 is capable of delivering.
