2017 Jeep Quicksand Concept: One Of The Most Interesting Concept For Moab

The 2017 Jeep Quicksand Concept is built by an American automobile brand which is a subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler Automobile. This car was intentionally built for the 51st annual Easter Jeep Safari. It is an event held in Moab, Utah wherein many Jeep enthusiasts are gathered to drive the desert trails.

This 2017 Jeep Quicksand Concept comes with an old school moon tank placed between its exposed frame rails. Its Glass faced headlights, chrome trim, and its body is made up of an aluminum cylinder that completes the look. The hood is a peekaboo cut-out that fits the eight-velocity stack that feeds individual throttle bodies.

Inside the Quicksand Concept shows a transformed look. The gauge is replaced with old-school units. The HVAC controls are also gone and are being replaced with toggle switches from various concepts. Seats are made up of red leather, low-back buckets, and features white stitched with quilted patterns. The car can only accommodate two passengers, and the rear cargo is where the battery and fuel cell is placed. The roof is apparently opened, and Chromed roll bars are also added for additional protection.

The 2017 Jeep Quicksand Concept is said to be the first Jeep to ever run in a staggered tire setup.  It just means that the front and rear tires don't have the same sizes.  The front tires are 32 inches tall while the rear tires are 37 inches tall.

This concept comes with a standard V6 engine that produces a 392 cubic-inch Hemi V-8 that comprises an eight-velocity stack that feeds individual throttle bodies. Each has its port for fuel injection system and features a long-tube, downturn headers that bump directly to the front tires. Engineers from Jeep come up with a Getrag six-speed manual transmission for complete control over the power. However, it still has a two-speed, part-time transfer case that sends power to the front Dana 44 axel because it is a wrangler.
