WardsAuto Best Interiors Of 2013 Winners Revealed, Ram 1500, Cadillac XTS, Mazda6 Make The List (PHOTOS)

The 2013 "Ward's 10 Best Interiors" list was revealed today, and it features a number of different motor vehicles including several that prove customers don't need to spend a fortune to drive a luxurious vehicle.

From Feb. through Mar., 46 different models were compared, inspected and graded by WardsAuto editors and they came up with a list of 10 that they feel include the best interior among all new or significantly upgraded vehicles.

Editors drove the vehicles during their normal commutes and submitted score sheets ranking each model's interior based on several criteria, like materials, comfort, safety, value, and materials according to the company press release.

"This year's batch of winners really drives home the point that auto interiors are vital in the battle for consumers' hearts and minds," says WardsAuto World Editor-in-Chief, Drew Winter in a company press release . "It wasn't uncommon all that long ago for auto makers to view interiors as the best place to take cost out of a vehicle program. They eventually figured out that's a big mistake because people spend a lot more time looking at the inside of their car than the outside."

The 2013 winners include:

-Acura RDX (Honda Motor Co. Ltd.)

  -Cadillac XTS (General Motors Co.)

  -Chevrolet Spark (General Motors Co.)

-Hyundai Santa Fe Sport (Hyundai Motor Co. Ltd.)

  -Kia Forte (Kia Motors Corp.)

-Lexus GS 450h (Toyota Motor Corp.)

  -Mazda6 (Mazda Motor Corp.)

-Nissan Pathfinder (Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.)

-Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn (Chrysler Group LLC)

  -Toyota Avalon (Toyota Motor Corp.)

Winners will be awarded at a ceremony at the WardsAuto Interiors Conference on May 22 at The Henry Hotel in Dearborn, M.I.
