Samsung will never stop innovating. It has been reported recently that Samsung foldable phones may arrive in two years. The year 2019 is believed to be the year everyone gets treated with what could be the slimmest and most advanced foldable mobile device ever made.
Many have been speculating, however, that the foldable phones are soon to arrive following the release of S8 and S8+ recently. This is not possible since Kim Tae-Woong, Samsung Display Principal engineer said that the commercial launch may happen in 2019, two years from now. This statement officially ends the speculation that the so-called "Samsung Galaxy X" is to be launched this September will not come to be.
Korean analysts are positive that bezel-less displays are impressively profitable for Samsung and the company does not need to rush products that are still not ready. For a technological advancement such as a foldable phone, it needs intense product planning and conceptualization. It can't be launched just because it has to do an immediate follow-up to the recently released phones back in March.
From last year, it was reported that Samsung will be releasing two mobile devices this 2017. Unfortunately for those wishing that the other one is the Samsung foldable phone, it won't be. In connection to this, 2019 may be a good year for the launch when bezel-less displays go slow on sale.
Samsung initially launched a bezel-less prototype back in 2013 before unveiling the Samsung Note Edge that year. It definitely brought anticipation and excitement from industry experts. The prototype definitely made a lot hoped for it to come to fruition sooner than expected. It was reportedly supposed to be slated for launch either 2015 or 2016 but never materialized.
Though disappointing for some, others may just be thrilled that the Samsung foldable phone will surely be launched officially in 2019. Meanwhile, it is best to focus one's attention on the recently released Samsung phones which have significantly changed the standard in ultimate mobile technology.
