The 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon Has a Cooling System Like No Other

The latest Dodge Challenger Demon video was released several days ago. Entitled "No Ice," the latest teaser revealed the Demon's cold air induction system.

In a report by The Drive, the Dodge Demon has an apparently "bitchin' air cooler." It does not use a regular air or coolant to chill the gases that flow through the intercooler like regular forced-induction cars. Instead, the upcoming muscle car uses a liquid-to-air system. In Drag Mode, the cool fluid from the air conditioning system will be diverted to help knock down the temperature of the air coming from the engine.

Basically, the air conditioner will make sure that the engine stays cool. While this doesn't seem impressive, this is actually very important. Cold air is more dense than warm air. If the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon's engine will keep sucking up the cold air from the air conditioning system, its engine will be able to make more power rather than with the hot air coming from the engine.

In another report by Jalopnik, the Dodge Challenger Demon is actually the first-ever factory production car that will have this feature. The liquid-to-air charge air cooler chiller system is essentially both a cooler and chiller system. It will be able to simultaneously cool the engine while making the driver chill as well.

The latest video can be found below. Last week's video was entitled "No Pills." This video was very cryptic and the internet was filled with speculation about its meaning. At least this week's video is relatively straightforward with not much room for interpretation. The last two installments have yet to launch. The last two videos will come out later this week while the launch will happen next week.

The 2018 Dodge Challenger Demon is built for speed and really has all of us hyped up. Are you excited for the launch next week? Share your thoughts and comments below!
