Next Generation QX80 SUV Teased By Infiniti

The New York Auto Show is almost here and the new trailer has been released. The teaser, just before the New York Auto Show comes from Infiniti. And what was revealed in the trailer from the company was just a name. The name that the next generation SUV is going to get is the QX80 Monograph.

Though this is the least information that we could get from a teaser, there are few things that can be deduced from the teaser as well as the single picture that followed the news.

The vehicle is just in the concept form. The prototype has not been created yet. And Infiniti released the teaser for a vehicle that will be a successor to the current QX80 SUV. The initial prototype of the vehicle is yet to be released, reported Auto Blog.

Other than this, it is also evident that the SUV will also see a fairly significant redesign. Based on the teaser, the headlights are now lined up with the top half of the grille. It is not at the bottom like it always was. Not only this, the tops of the fenders of the SUV are higher. This helps in giving a bolder look to the SUV. With this change, the SUV will look more aggressive and more square-shouldered. The lower vents and front spoiler look more aggressive.

This is just a teaser that Infiniti has released. The SUV will be fully revealed on April 11. This will be just before the New York Auto Show. After April 11 much more details of the vehicle will be revealed.

As of date, it is still unsure if the next generation QX80 SUV is a completely new vehicle or not. For all that is known, the new vehicle might be a modified or completely refreshed version of the existing vehicle. It might be a spinoff from Nissan for the existing patrol-based SUV.
