2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio: Alfa Romeo's First Ever SUV

The 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is said to be the first SUV that was ever made under the brand. It was launched in Los Angeles, California last 2016. The all-new Stelvio Quadifoglio was developed in the Alfa Romeos's renowned engineering center in Modena, Italy. It will only be manufactured in the recently overhauled casino plant.

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Qadrifoglio is a combination of speed, heritage, beauty, and perfection. It comes with a similar grille and hood on the Guila but has an additional cut and bulges that mask its greater height.

Inside the 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is a driver's seat located behind on a flat-bottomed steering wheel with a bright red starter bottom that can be found on the left spoke. It has an aluminum shift paddles, handgrips, carbon-fiber trim with red stitching that matches the Guila's dash and door finishes. A TFT screen is tucked in between the tachometer and speedometer, accompanied by a 6.5-inch infotainment located in the middle of the dash.

The car comes with two separate performances. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio has a 505hp, 443 lp-ft of torque with its 2.9-liter V6 engine while the Stelvio Ti has a 280hp, 306 lb-ft of torque and a 2.0-liter I4 Intercooler Turbo Engine.

The base and Ti model of 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifolio shares a direct 2.0-liter equipped with an all-aluminum block and head. It has a twin-scroll turbocharger and an intercooler that helps generate a 280 horsepower at 2,500rph and a 306 pound-feet of torque. Alfa accelerates from zero to 60mph in just 3.9 seconds. Its top speed is 177mph, which is faster than its competitors, but the Stelvio is 14mph slower than Guila. It also comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The Stelvio Quadrifoglio can shift in 4 different driving modes, the Dynamic, Natural, Race and Advanced efficiency which is an energy saving mode. This driving performance was made possible through the 4-mode Alfa DNA Pro Drive technology. The price of the 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio hasn't been known yet, but it is roughly estimated $50,000 for a base Stelvio and $70,000 for a Quadrifoglio.
