Honda released an information about the launching of Honda WR-V 1.5-Litter petrol engine.The WR-V sedan is part of the "Refresh Urban India" concept. India was the first country to manufacture and launch the WR-V sedan.
The Honda WR-V is a first crossover sedan. The hatchback is primarily base on Honda Jazz SUV. The WR-V is sub 4 meters, but it is still longer than the Honda Jazz. There was a few enhancement toward the sedan's design, however, the deep character line of it is no different than the one on the Honda Jazz.
According to Autocar India, the new crossover WR-V with lifted 1.5-Liter petrol engine will have the same I-VTEC motor. Currently, this was also used with the WR-V petrol variant packs 1.2-Liter I-VTEC engine. Unfortunately, there is no option of an automatic gearbox with the WR-V 1.2.
The difference between the WR-V petrol 1.2-liter engine and the Honda WR-V 1.5-Liter petrol engine is that the prospective customer finds WR-V petrol 1.2-litter is slightly underpowered. It lacks the sporty character that the WR-V petrol 1.5-Liter motor offers. Honda WR-V petrol 1.5 is a solution to people who finds the WR -V petrol 1.2 underpower but still chooses the refinement and smooth operation of the petrol engine.
The Honda WR-V petrol 1.2-liter engine produces 119 PS and 145 Nm of peak torque. The WR-V 1.5 engine was compared to top-end VX and ZX because of the 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT with paddle shifters. While the diesel engine getting 6-speed gearbox.
