2017 Ford Fiesta ST200 Is The Hottest Hatch You Could Buy Today

Ford Performance has taken the admired Ford Fiesta ST compact and made it even hotter. The all-new Ford Fiesta ST200 is the most powerful production Fiesta ever. This new Fiesta produces 10 percent more power and 20 percent more torque with 200 PS and 290 Nm compared to the Fiesta ST.

Vice President of Product Development, Ford of Europe, Joe Bakaj, said, "The Fiesta ST is truly beloved by owners and critics. The ST200 takes this special drivers' car to a new level of power and performance." "We think it's a future classic in the making."

The all-new 2017 Ford Fiesta ST200 offers a bolder and more distinctive design, offered only with the exclusive Storm Gray exterior color and with the distinctive 17-inch ST alloy wheels finished in matt black and polished rims. It also features red painted calipers alongside the ST-specifications large trapezoidal grille with honeycomb construction, body-color rear diffuser element, dynamic front spoiler and side skirts, and a large rear roof spoiler.

Under the hood, the ST200 is powered by a 1.6-liter EcoBoost that produces 200 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque. It can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and delivers faster in-gear acceleration for a much-improved drivability and fun to drive experience. Top speed is 230 km/h.

In addition, the ST200s driving dynamic are supported by Enhanced Torque Vectoring Control and 3-mode Electronic Stability Control. The EVTC system applies a brake force to the inside front wheel when cornering to increase road holding and reduce the understeer without affecting the car's speed.

On the inside, the interior include a unique partial leather Charcoal Recaro front seats with silver stitching, as are its seatbelts. Illuminated scuff plates also incorporate the ST200 logo. Other features include a carbon fiber dashboard inserts, gear shifter and alloy metal pedals, and an ST-specification steering wheel.

The 2017 Ford Fiesta ST200 also comes with sophisticated technologies such as Ford's SYNC voice-activated communications and entertainment system with 5-inch screen, daytime running LED headlights, and the MyKey features. Ford also has already sold more than 30,000 Fiesta STs in Europe.
