The 2017 Kia Sportage EX AWD seems to be taking the world by storm. Owners of the car could not seem to get enough of its stylish design, with the car's LX version incorporating the features of its EX counterpart.
Its lack of rear quarter window is what separates this car from its competitors. It also comes with sculpted door panel and a gently sloped roofline that gives the car a sporty look.
The design of the car actually reminded some of Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Cherokee. Even though, users find the rear of the Kia car quite confusing.
According to Motortrend, the 2017 Kia Sportage EX AWD can forgo its taillight strips. Users seemed to prefer the car's SX version detailed LED taillights on the EX version of the car.
Users are actually bugged by the Sportage design that is reminiscent to Chevrolet Bolt EV. The two cars both have turn signals that are mounted low that allows the lights to act as a reflector, which could be quite bothersome to users who wants to use turn signals with a higher light for better visibility.
The car comes with a large circular fog light that some users are not fond of. One good thing about the car is that it has a cool patterned headlight and an interesting grill.
Another good thing about the car is its unique windshield. The 2017 Kia Sportage EX AWD has a tabbed shape top that can be found on the front of its windshield, similar to the 2018 Stinger.
According to CarAndDriver, the Kia Sportage may not have a firm suspension as its SX counterpart but it still has well-controlled body motion that allows accurate steering. Upon testing the car, test drivers found out that the car can circle at the skidpad at 0.83 g that is better than AWD CR-V and CX-5 models.
The 2017 Kia Sportage EX AWD comes with a $1900 Premium Package that has a panoramic sunroof, blind-spot detector, and heated steering wheel. It is also available with a $2,800 technology package that includes a Harman or Kordon sound system, power liftgate, lane departure warning and automated emergency parking. All in all, the car amounts to $32, 595 that is considered affordable by most users.
