2018 Audi RS4 Avant Spied: New Photos Reveal Sporty Wagon In Red

The 2018 Audi RS4 Avant's newest spy photos have been revealed, showing a few details about its design. It is not the first time, though, as it was previously spotted in February. This time around, the car was seen driving in public roads.

The Audi RS4 Avant still sports the aggressive styling at the front and rear that was seen last month. There is the wider track, a spoiler and diffuser, Autoguide reported. The wagon also has lowered suspension, which contributes to its overall sporty look.

The 2018 Audi RS4 Avant that has been spied this time is in bold red color, judging by its exposed top. Previously, the captured photos show a dark blue color, which suggests that Audi will offer several color options for its upcoming all-wheel drive.

Although its design will still be a surprise, its engine is no longer a secret. According to CarAdvice, the Audi RS4 Avant will sport a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 with 600nM of torque between 1,900 and 5,000 rpm. It will also have 331kW of power similar to the RS5 Coupe that was unveiled earlier this month at the Geneva Motor Show.

It is also the same engine that was first seen in the Porsche Panamera, which means car enthusiasts can also expect the RS4 Avant to produce 450 horsepower. The equipment will reportedly allow the RS5 to accelerate from zero to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds, but the RS4 will be a little slower since it has a larger body.

The 2018 Audi RS4 Avant is expected to be formally revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The new car will be heading to Europe by the end of the year and to Australia possibly in 2018, but there is no news yet on whether Audi will also bring the wagon to the U.S.
