BMW M235i Race Car Driver Rages After Crash in Nurburgring

The Nurburgring track can be a torture not only to the car but to the driver as well. A testament to this is a video recently shared on several motoring blogs showing a multi-car crash, and more embarrassingly, the reaction of one of the drivers involved.

The VLN1 is a high-octane race on the Nurburgring track. Not finishing the entire race might take a toll to some drivers. However, it is a different kind of frustration to be involved in a car crash that you did not provoke.

According to The Drive, the video was taken during the VLN1 race on Saturday at the Nurburgring. The race was on its usual pace with the BMW M235i race car calmly holding its line as they pass through the Flugplatz section of the track.

It was then when a Mercedes-AMG GT3 race car wobbled out of control forcing it to bump the BMW out of the track. At least three cars were involved in the crash, including the BMW and the Mercedes.

The crash is embarrassing enough for the three riders involved, but it was the BMW M235i driver that highlighted the video. He was shown throwing his arms around in frustration. Though the video did not catch any audio from the drivers, some observers are pretty sure that the BMW driver also gave the Mercedes driver some pretty nasty words of condemnation.

At the latter part of the video, the driver was even seen attempting to smash his or her helmet on the Mercedes car but hesitated during the last moment, which is probably for the better. The crash itself will probably cost the BMW driver at least $5,000, and that does not cover the cost of the car repair.
