2018 Lexus LC: Lexus Wants Others To Be Envious Of Them, Then LC May Be The Answer

Lexus is undeniably one of the best car manufacturers the world over, however, more often than not, it is not the first choice. Well, things may be different now with the release of 2018 Lexus LC. This Lexus ride may certainly make everyone else envious.

According to Automotive News, Lexus International President Tokuo Fukuichi said that when a driver is stuck in traffic, people seem to look at the driver who is driving a Mercedes-Benz as someone who made it in the society which will, in turn, make them envious. He continued on by saying that Lexus has not reached that level just yet.

With the new Lexus, it may well be called the "Lexus Envy" as the company wants to possess it with new multipronged branding push to sharpen its image as a lifestyle brand. This will also make it way different from the mass appeal of Toyota.

The 2018 Lexus LC is what "Lexus Envy" is all about. Its pricing for one is completely different from the rest. This coupe is expected to retail around $92,995 which includes shipping. This alone elevated the vehicle to ultimate luxury and an aspirational luxury car. For its price, it is expected to boast of features that may be considered unimaginable for a Lexus car.

As added by Car and Driver, the 2018 Lexus LC comes with sharply angled sheet metal and massively meshed grille which suggests a serious performance car. It is also heavily enhanced with carbon fiber and high-strength steel. Lexus is also proud to showcase that the LC has the highest torsional stiffness of any of its models.

The 2018 Lexus LC also is insanely powerful because of its 5.0-liter V-8 mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Such engine is capable of producing about 471-horsepower. A hybrid will also be available and is also powerful of its kind for producing 354-horsepower.

With its sleek design and looks, it is easy to understand why the 2018 Lexus LC may be considered an enviable car. As earlier reported, Lexus wants to reach that aspirational level, one that is related to success and power. The 2018 LC is tasked to make this possible and it may well deliver the company's ultimate goal.
