Lincoln Continental Head-Up Display: If It Doesn't Make One Focus On The Road, Nothing Else Will

Increased road visibility while behind the wheel is definitely an important factor to keep the driver, passengers and everyone else around safe. This is one of the cutting-edge technology which will be made available in Lincoln Continental. It is its latest Head-Up display which promises everything else to be highly visible and clear, to say the least.

According to Motor 1, Lincoln is the first to use Digital Light Projection technology which is similar to the ones used in digital movie theaters. This allows for the display to be more visible in natural light compared to other systems. It also enables for the information to be clearly visible even when viewed through sunglasses.

Other vehicles are already using the same technology as Lincoln Continental Head-Up display but Lincoln is using the Digital Light Projection chip from Texas Instruments. This spells a big difference compared to the rest as Lincoln's is reported to be significantly brighter and clearer according to Anthony King, product design engineer of The Lincoln Motor Company.

The display is controlled via the steering wheel and it is also customizable. It shows a wide range of important details and information such as speed, fuel level, temperature, and much more. When the system is turned on, navigation system and phone activity will automatically be displayed.

This all-new head-up display is exclusive to Lincoln. Even more exciting is that the Continental will first have it next month, April. This technology definitely enables the driver to focus on the road. This is one of the most important goals for having such integrated to its vehicles.

As added by Motor Trend, Lincoln Continental Head-Up display is centered on the windshield above the steering wheel as the site digs deeper into this system. Everything can be displayed can be controlled by the steering wheel to achieve perfect viewing position. Drivers are able to choose to see every component and choose what they want. That is the level of control this technology provides its drivers.

The Lincoln Continental Head-Up display will certainly be the envy of other brands. Since this technology will greatly increase safety for bringing more focus on the road, it is not long for all other vehicles to employ the same technology, no matter how affordable or expensive it is.
