The 2016 Fiat 500 Abarth has plenty of power for what it’s made to achieve. The stock engine of the car is 1.4-liter four-cylinder that produces 160 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque. However, the stock power wasn’t enough for the German tuners at Pogea Racing.

As reported by The Drive, the entire body kit is made from carbon fiber. Where there isn’t carbon fiber, they have painted the pieces in matte grey. There is also a carbon fiber engine dressing kit that cloaks the intake manifold and the engine itself. All of these give the car a really menacing look. Speaking of the engine the German tuners have packed an additional 245 horsepower into the car’s stock engine of 1.4-liters, for a total of 404 horsepower.

In order to achieve this, Pogea Racing had to strip nearly everything from the stock engine and they added in motorsport-spec pieces, including new cams and connecting rods, a bigger turbo, CNC-ed heads, high-pressure fuel injectors, bigger throttle body, new cooling system for both water and oil, new crankshaft, new intake, new camshaft, new oil pan, and more. They have also reinforced the gearbox and the engine block so they can cope with the added power. On top of that, they’ve added six-piston brakes for stopping this brute power.

According to Top Gear, Pogea Racing has made even more changes to the vehicle. The new flywheel, reinforced gears, limited slip differential, short shifter, extra transmission cooler, a reinforced bell housing, KW adjustable suspension, reinforced axels, and reinforced bearings are all part of the tuned car.

Even with all these changes, the car is still front-wheel drive only. Pogea claims that it’ll do 0-62mph in 4.7 seconds on a dry track. As reported by Pogea Racing, they need four years to make it all work together and there will be a total of five Pogea Abath 500 starting at about £50,000 each.
