Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Release Date Further Delayed?

Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is not likely to come out this April. New reports point to further delayed release date of its major component which seems to suggest a delay in the release of the Surface Pro 4 successor as well.

Multiple reports predict that the highly anticipated Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will run with the upcoming Windows 10 Creators Update. This major component is set to launch next month, hence the new tablet is also rumored to come out next month.

However, new reports point to a delay in the full release of the Windows 10 Creators Update. Although the new operating system is scheduled to be launched this April, analysts believe that users will also need to wait for months before they can download the new OS. This theory suggests that Microsoft will also roll out the new OS in the same way it has rolled out last year's Anniversary Update.

According to the data provided by AdDuplex on Wednesday which was posted by PCWorld, the release of Microsoft's Windows 10 Anniversary Update extended to eight months before 90 percent of users were finally able to be installed with the Anniversary Update. It is believed that Microsoft will most likely do the same pace in releasing the upcoming Windows 10 Creators Update.

The publication details that the staggered release of the Anniversary Update was necessary. Microsoft needed to gradually roll out the update to avoid melting out of its servers.

If the release of the Anniversary Update took time to be fully released, the upcoming Windows 10 Creators Update is expected to be released gradually as well. This suggests the delay in the release of the new operating system.

If all rumors pointing to the inclusion of the Windows 10 Creators Update in the highly anticipated Microsoft Surface Pro 5 turn out to be true, then the release of the latest hybrid tablet will most likely be affected as well.

As of this time, the tech giant remains tight-lipped with regard to specs and release date of the Surface Pro 5. It remains to be seen if the new tablet will come out next month or will be further delayed.
