Citroen E-Berlingo Multispace MPV Is Your New Spacious & Dependable Minivan

Citroen E-Berlingo Multispace MPV is set to be released in autumn. The new Berlingo boasts of its huge space for personal and business use. It also offers powerful driving performance.

Citroen has announced its latest addition to its range of electric vehicles through the launch of the E-Berlingo Multispace MPV. The new minivan shares its drivetrain from the brand's lineup of vans but comes with some alterations. The new MPV now has side and rear windows and the loading bay is replaced with a rear row of seats.

The Citroen E-Berlingo Multispace MPV boasts of its roomy features. It has three comfortable, individual rear seats with ample leg room and high roof line for the head room.

The new MPV also has 675-liter boot space for cargo or travel luggage for long trips. Once rear seats are folded flat, the loading bay can expand up to 3,000-liter volume.

The new minivan does not seem to be mini at all as it also comes with massive compartments for passengers stuff like a deep, large compartment in between the two front seats where an office bag can fit in. Moreover, there are mini shelves on the console, and some compartments are placed even on the side ceilings to maximize space.

On the inside, the electric Berlingo sports two individual battery packs which store 22.5kWh of charge. It also relies on 66bhp, a 200Nm electric motor which is powered by the battery packs.

The battery packs take eight hours to fully charge via a 16 A or Type 2 cable. Whereas, it takes about ten hours to charge the standard domestic three-pin plug.

In terms of pricing, Citroen has not announced any price mark for this upcoming E-Berlingo Multispace MPV. However, Autoexpress predicts the new Berlingo can carry a $27,200 (£21,759) price tag.

Meanwhile, the Citroen E-Berlingo Multispace can efficiently drive to a maximum 170 km (106 miles) via full charge battery. This driving range was measured via European NEDC standards. According to the French automaker, the figures came from data based on the majority of Europeans driving 100 km (62 miles) below per day, HybridCars has noted.

With the new van's 200Nm of torque, it can easily accelerate without interruption. Driving is easier as the Citroen E-Berlingo Multispace MPV has a full-time single-speed reduction gear which eliminates the hassle of gear changing.
