745-HP VLF Automotive Force 1 Roadster Price, Appearance - Details Inside

The internet has been buzzing about the arrival of the VLF Automotive Force 1 Roadster. The convertible version of Henrik Fisker's Dodge Viper supercar is something to be hyped at.

According to reports, VLF Automotive is preparing to reveal a convertible version of the V10 powered Force 1 supercar. Last year, the company announced the Force 1 at the Detroit Motor Show.

The convertible version is expected to be unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show next month. VLF Automotive was formed by legendary automotive designer Henrik Fisker along with racing driver Ben Keating and former General Motors head Bob Lutz.

It was reported that the VLF Force 1 Roadster would be equipped with the same running gear as the hard-top version. This means it will pack an 8.40litre V10 motor from the Dodge Viper under the hood.

Unsurprisingly, the V10 engine can produce up to 745 brake horsepower and 638 pound-feet of torque to the rear wheels. The potential buyers can choose from a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed paddle-shifted automatic.

Aside from the facts mentioned above, nothing much has been revealed about the Force 1 Roadster yet. Its top speed is expected to be a bit lower than the Coupe's 218 miles per hour due to its weight.

The Force 1 Roadster convertible is expected to be a bit heavier than the coupe which weighs in around 3,200 pounds. This is all thanks to the additional structural bracing VLF could potentially be adding to the frame.

VLF Automotive released a couple of teaser shots and videos showing the Force 1 V10 Roadster being developed on their social media accounts. In the teaser, fans can watch VLF design boss Henrik Fisker working on the body.

It was reported that the teasers were shot at the company's headquarters located in Auburn Hills, Michigan. As of the moment, the company has yet to mention a reveal date.

However, the Force 1 Roadster is expected to make an appearance at a major auto show soon. This could potentially be at either the New York or Shanghai auto shows which will be both on next month.

As for the price, it should start slightly above the $268,500 starting price of the coupe. Keep checking back on Auto World News for more updates.
