Heading towards a new race season, there is always tons of anticipation. The tension is higher this year as the Formula 1 2017 Season begins.

In this report, Auto World News discusses everything fans need to know about the upcoming Formula 1 season. It is pleasing to reveal that there are solid championship contenders for this year.

For three years, Mercedes-AMG Petronas were the only real championship contenders for the race. However, the new regulations for this year's race will change that.

According to reports, the FIA are hoping that the new rules will increase fan interest. This year, there will be faster cars which could potentially create some changes in the running order.

The new rules also made some changes in the engine token system. These changes allowed manufacturers to develop any part of their power units during the season with freedom.

As previously mentioned, the cars for the Formula 1 2017 Season. The new cars will have wider rear wings, tires, and floors.

The cars will also feature a lot of aerodynamic elements which will stand alone from the bodywork. This time, the cars don't just look faster, the drivers will be faster as well.

According to reports, the drivers were already running more than 3 seconds per lap faster at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya during the preseason testing. It was a lot faster than they were during the qualifying for the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix.

There are also several teams who have opted to fit their cars with rear shark fins. This rear shark fins will aid airflow.

While it might not produce a lot of overtaking, the Monaco Grand Prix is one of the most exciting races on the calendar, and will take place on May 28. The U.S. Grand Prix, which is on Oct. 22 this year, is a favorite among drivers and fans because the Circuit of the America produces great racing. You also shouldn't miss the only twilight race, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, on Nov. 26. This is the final race of the season, and is often where the driver championship is decided.
