The 2017 BMW 540i xDrive promises not just luxury but enough power to satisfy car enthusiasts. The simple fact that this is a BMW, then there should be no questions about what it can deliver and how it performs. The German luxury car manufacturer has perfected this over several years, so having the 540i xDrive yet again proves that it is one of the undisputed best luxury car manufacturer the world over.

According to Top Gear, the 2017 BMW 540i xDrive is currently its fastest for producing 335-bhp and 332 pound-feet of torque. It can also accelerate from zero to 62mph in just 4.8 seconds. It holds an output all the way to 5,200rpm and the gearbox reportedly does an impressive job so one won't notice that the car is revving. However, the driver would somehow slightly feel tingling towards the top end and extra tension and focus in the drivetrain.

The 540i also fares well in terms of fuel economy. Many would have the notion that fuel economy is the least of the concerns of luxury car owners, however, that is not the case at all. They do and it counts- a lot. This latest sedan returns between 30 and 32 mpg. This is good for a powerful sedan as this.

As added by Road Show, it is well equipped with tech features, something that would definitely get the interest of those who live and breathe advanced automotive technology. Some of its tech features include trip computer, telematics, heated steering wheel, universal garage door opener, cruise control, navigation system, and much more.

It also is one safe sedan for having traction control, stability control, child safety locks, and brake assist. The 2017 BMW 540i xDrive also has integrated turn signal mirrors, headlights-auto-leveling, and daytime running lights. These are standard safety features which promise to ultimately protect both the driver and passengers in times of unwanted trouble and accidents.
