2017 Honda Civic Type R vs 2017 Ford Focus RS: Head To Head Battle, Which is better?

For the first time in the history of the US car market, two great model signatures will be battling it out.  The 2017 Honda Civic Type R and the 2017 Ford Focus RS will be available in the US for sale.

Both cars have great similarities and some differences when it comes to their features. Both are 5 door hatchback powered by a 4 cylinder engine. Their sporty looks are a sure hit to US consumers and they are priced almost in the same range, it would be a tough choice between the two vehicles.

2017 Honda Civic Type R. Introduced during the prestigious 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the cars will be formally launched this April at the New York Motor Show.  According to Car Buzz, the 2017 Honda Civic Type R will have a power train of 306 HP, 2.0 Liter, and V4 engine.  This will be connected to a six-speed manual transmission gearbox.  It is only a front wheel driven, but driving is a comfort. It would be the fastest and most powerful Honda model that would be marketed in the US. Available this spring, it will be priced in the mid $30,000.00 for affordability.

2017 Ford Focus RS. Competing directly for the same market with the 2017 Honda Civic Type R, Ford will have its own fighter this year.  Business Insider reports that the 2017 Ford Focus RS would have a slightly more power under its hood. Its power plant would be a 350350 HP, 4 valve 2.3-liter engine. Transmission is likewise a six-speed manual gearbox but would power all 4 wheels instead of just two. Acceleration is reported to be around 0 - 60 MPH. An urban car that can double as a track car, it would cater to young professionals who loves to drive fast. Priced around $36,000.00 it would really compete with the Honda brand.

Both of these cars have great speed and awesome specifications but interested buyers might opt for one which is less expensive and the one that fits their taste. One thing to ponder is that whatever interested buyers' choice will be, the 2017 Honda Civic Type R and 2017 Ford Focus RS are two great cars they need buy soon.
