Famous ‘Logan' Actor Hugh Jackman Will Become Enzo Ferrari, The Enigmatic Creator Of Ferrari Cars

Hugh Jackman will be playing Enzo Ferrari, creator of the most renowned brand Ferrari. This untitled biopic will be based on the book "Enzo Ferrari: The Man, The Cars, The Races."

The movie will highlight the year 1957 after Enzo Ferrari lost his son Alfredo from Muscular Dystrophy. It will also showcase how Ferrari handled the tragic Mille Miglia race, causing the lives of Spanish driver Alfonso De Portago and nine other spectators, reported Carmudi.

The unnamed movie will also focus on Ferrari's family, especially his wife Linda Ferrari. "Millenium" actress Noomi Rapace was tapped to play the wife of the brilliant car designer. Legendary actor and director Clint Eastwood is being asked to direct this movie.

According to Motor1, the "Logan" actor Hugh Jackman was not the first choice for the role. "The Promise" actor Christian Bale was also asked to play Enzo Ferrari but he had to drop out because of the weight gain required for the role.

This film has been in development for the past 17 years. Aside from what is aforementioned above, the movie will focus on the rivalry between Ferrari and Maserati.

Enzo Ferrari is known by many as the legendary creator of Ferrari cars. Apparently, the creator seemed to be both the hero and villain of his life.

Ferrari is a hot-tempered man prone to loud outburst and amorous conquest. There seemed to be a lot of contradictory with this man.

The book "Enzo Ferrari: The Man, The Cars, The Races" showed that Enzo Ferrari portrays himself as a loyal Italian patriot but is only interested in one thing, winning. To the point, that he pushes his drivers to dangerous extremes.

This biographical book also explained that he did not make the cars that were named after him. Writer Brock Yates even said that none of the racing cars has any daring technology in it.

Hugh Jackman will be portraying Enzo Ferrari as a racer and an entrepreneur. The unnamed movie will begin production in 2018 and will be released in 2019.
