The new 2017 Ghibli is a vehicle that combines style, power, sporty handling and comfort. The  2017 Ghibli encapsulates the very soul of Maserati. It is inspired by more than a century of tradition but created for today’s discerning drivers.

As reported by the Drive, Maserati is a name synonymous with a great looking sports car. That is no exception with their 2017 Ghibli, a luxurious sports sedan. Maserati Ghibli is available with two 3.0-liter twin turbo V6 petrol engines delivering either 330 horsepower or 410 horsepower, and a 3.0-liter diesel engine that produces 275 horsepower.

Standard equipment for the Ghibli is said to include 18-inch alloy wheels, auto lights, cruise control, sunroof, leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather upholstery, eight-speaker stereo, and Bluetooth, 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, navigation and reversing camera. On the safety side, Ghibli has seven airbags, stability control feature, and anti-lock brakes. There is also an optional Advanced Driver Assistance System package that comprises adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, and a surround view parking camera.

On the inside, there’s plenty of high-quality leather, and the seats are comfortable. However, few elements are made of cheap-feeling plastic, and it’s not a good sign for a premium brand such as Maserati. The car drives firm, but it has a tendency to feel busy on anything other than a smooth surface.
Maserati Ghibli falls short of expectations as a sports sedan. It is neither the fastest, the sharpest or the most luxurious of the mid-size luxury models. On top of that, the interior is let down by the cheap plastic and borrowed parts from Chrysler.

But not everything looks grim for Maserati Ghibli. As reported by Fiat Chrysler Authority, an updated version of Maserati Ghibli has already been spotted. The engine options are likely to remain unchanged, but the body, wheels, interior and other options are likely to be in store for the new car.

According to Auto Blog, the spy shots of the new Maserati Ghibli reveal some notable changes on the headlights and grilles. It seems that the lights are likely to have a chrome or aluminum highlight that curves upward. The grille also looks like it has a more rounded shape. The giant black diaper that covers the back reveals nothing, but as seen by to the shape of the car, the rear bumper has clearly been reworked.
The full reveal of the car is expected by the end of the year.
