OnePlus 5 To Have Dual-Edge Curved Display As Well As 256 Gigabytes Of Internal Storage

More speculations about the upcoming OnePlus 5 flagship smartphone have recently come to light. What was supposed to be the OnePlus 4 is said to feature a dual edge display and a glass body.

Upcoming OnePlus flagship smartphone speculated features. The move to rename the upcoming flagship smartphone could be because of an old Chinese belief saying that the number '4' is an unlucky number. If the new flagship smartphone does get the name OnePlus 5, this justifies the company dropping '4' altogether and skipping directly to '5'. According to the website KoreanPortal.com, the new flagship smartphone will feature a glass body that could possibly be ceramic just like the Xiaomi Mi Mix as well as a

It may look like the Samsung's Galaxy S7 Edge and with claims saying it may also feature wireless charging, too. Since the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 is exclusive only to Samsung, the smartphone may instead run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 830. The phone manufacturer could also just wait until the Snapdragon 835 is made available to others.

Speculations suggest that the smartphone will have six gigabytes or even as much as eight gigabytes of RAM along with 64 gigabytes of internal storage. The smartphone could also come in a 256-gigabyte internal storage variant.

Other speculated features of the smartphone include a 23-megapixel rear camera. It is expected to have impressive camera performance and captured images thanks to its high-performance Snapdragon 830 (or possibly 835) processor. It will also have a 16-megapixel front camera similar to the one on the current OnePlus model.

The upcoming flagship smartphone is claimed to compete head on with the upcoming Galaxy S8. It is also expected to compete directly with the LG G6 and the Huawei P10, both of which were announced on the first day of the 2017 Mobile World Congress (MWC).

Given that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 is only exclusive to Korean tech giant Samsung, the release of OnePlus 5 could happen after the processor is made available to other phone manufacturers. If this is the case, then it should be expected that the smartphone will be released sometime in the later part of this year.
