Best Luxury SUV of 2017: Audi Q8 Sports Concept Car

Audi does it again by introducing a sportier version of the Q8 crossover that was introduced in January this year with its Audi Q8 Sports Concept. Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show this month, the Audi Q8 Sport Concept has a lot more features and advanced technology in this luxury car.

Trucks reviews mentioned that the Audi Q8 Sports Concept features a mild hybrid system linked to an electric supercharger based on a 3 liter, six cylinder engine. With its hybrid system, the Q8 Sports Concept is capable of driving 745 miles on a 22.5-gallon fuel tank. This couple-looking SUV can operate at lower speeds also, due to its super electric engine.

Sudbury reports that the Audi Q8 Sports Concept has a combined energy of 476 horsepower thanks to its engine specifications, enabling it to hit 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.7 seconds from a standstill. Top speed can reach up to 275 kilometers per hour with 700 Nm of torque according to sources.

For maximum car dynamics, the Audi Q8 Sports Concept has a Quattro AWD System, coupled with ceramic brakes and an air suspension system. Physically, the Q8 Sports Concept has been painted bright orange instead of the color blue from the Q8 Crossover Concept that was launched in Detroit Auto Show way back January. The grille also has a honeycomb pattern instead of vertical slats while the car's fenders have been extended.

The improved version of the Q8 Crossover Concept has a cruising range clocked at 200 kilometers per hour (about 1,200 kilometers now) on one tank of petrol, reported Mid-day. More prominent wheel arches, oval exhaust tailpipes, and an aluminum diffuser complete the look of the Q8 Sports Concept.

The Audi Q8 Sports Concept is predicted to go up against the likes of the BMW X6 M and the Mercedes-AMG GLE63 Coupe. This sportier Q8 is expected to sell by 2019, and the regular Q8 is expected to be sold in 2018 worldwide.
