The BMW i8 CrossFade Edition Is Luxury Vehicle With An Elegant Design By Garage Italia

The new BMW i8 CrossFade Edition made its official debut a few months ago. The vehicle is again being shown at the Geneva Auto Show in all its glory.

The new i8 CrossFade Edition designed by Garage Italia. The new i8 CrossFade Edition from the German luxury car manufacturer was designed jointly with Garage Italia. The limited edition vehicle will come in only 20 units worldwide.

The vehicle sports a two-tone color of Protonic Blue and Protonic Dark Silver giving it a very elegant appearance. The color design was done through a painting process where the vehicle was covered in stencil film then finished off with the Protonic Blue metallic color. Protonic Dark Silver metallic was then added as a second layer.

Interior-wise, the vehicle comes in dark silver and pure blue accents on Alcantara fabrics. The fabrics cover the interior's headliner, side panels, and central tunnel. The cabin features Protonic Blue and perforated Alcantara along with the famous Foglizzo leather seats.

The i8 CrossFade Edition's distinct look is care of Lapo Elkan, the President and founder of Garage Italia. Elkan is also responsible for various creative ideas on other kinds of luxury goods. His grandfather, Fiat Boss Gianni Agnelli, has always been supportive of his creative skills which have now made its way to the German luxury car manufacturer.

Speaking about the i8 CrossFade Edition, executive Adrian van Hooydonk said, "Lapo Elkann is a pioneer in linking the disciplines of fashion, automobile and design. As a designer, I find this comprehensive approach particularly exciting." He further added, "With BMW i, we have been successful in overcoming previous restrictions in automotive design through the use of entirely new materials. So the progressive expressiveness of the Garage Italia CrossFade Edition is perfectly in keeping with the BMW i3 and the BMW i8."
