2017 Bentley Continental Supersports: The Most Powerful Model Ever Produced

British automaker Bentley has added a new addition to their Continental line-up. They claim that their new Continental Supersports is the ultimate GT car. As you would expect from a luxury automaker like Bentley, Continental Supersports is the world’s fastest four-seater packed with the most luxurious features.

As previously reported by Auto World News, the director of interior design Romulus Rost required the car to express both extreme performance and ultimate luxury. On the outside, the most notable feature is the rear spoiler made from carbon fiber that adds better handling. On the inside, the interior has a three color scheme, and it is furnished with luxury materials like carbon fiber, Alcantara and Beluga. The dashboard and doors are made from specially designed carbon fiber, while the steering wheel and door panels are made from Alcantara.

Forbes reported that the Continental Supersports comes with 6.0-liter twin-turbo W12 engine that produces 700 horsepower and 750 pound-feet of torque. All this is backed by an 8-speed automatic transmission. It has a top speed of 209 mph and it currently holds the title as the fastest production 4-seater in the world. The car is equipped with massive carbon ceramic brakes that provide copious pucker power. It needs 3.4 seconds to go from 0-60 mph. Continental Supersports all-wheel drive system and torque vectoring software allow the car to have a better stability than many sports cars do at normal highway speeds.

According to Drive, 2017 Bentley Continental Supersports comes with a price tag of $569,522 for the coupe version, and $626,474 for the convertible version. By no means is this a car for the average buyer, but no part of the Continental’s handcrafted interior is dismantled to make the Supersports faster. It truly makes it a Grand Tourer. Bentley Continental Supersports is Bentley’s fastest machine that is capable of performing cross-continental trips in a single sitting. It blends the best of the brand’s craftsmanship with relentless power and grace.
