2017 Artega Scalo Superelletra Concept: The Artega's Work Of Art With Touring

The German sports car manufacturer, Artega, introduces its 2017 Artega Scalo Superelletra Concept. It is the preview of the series version that has a strictly limited production of only 50 units.

The car concept has room for three passengers that will enjoy the comfort of the three full sized seats. It also enables a central driving position for space optimization and an ultimate driving experience.

As for the origin of the brand name Artega, according to the owner and CEO of the company, Klaus D. Frers, "The brand name 'Artega' comes from the Italian word 'arte' for art - the art of sports car manufacturing. The task was to maintain the core of Artega while reaching the next level of both - Artega and the very top of the market segment of supercars".

The brand's fundamental values are passion and inspiration as they have always believed that art comes from skill. Touring Superleggera, on the other hand, is the chosen stylist due to its unique work of arts over 90 years in the history and world's greatest designs.

As said by Piero Mancardi, the CEO of Touring, they are glad to create a fully electric vehicle finally. Mancardi stated that "There were a few challenges here, particularly in finding the right proportions for the 3-seater layout. The innovative electronic package, however, gives a higher degree of freedom and we tried to take full advantage from it."

Touring's design of this 2017 Artega Scalo Superelletra Concept has maintained the brand's identity. But, the image also acknowledged the tradition of the designer in creating beauty with purity of the line and simplicity.

There are high-performance e-machines that the 2017 Artega Scalo Superelletra Concept has from the Voltabox which is also a German manufacturer. For the rear, it is 400 KW together with 500 KW peak. As for the front, it is rated at 350 KW with 400 KW peak output. To sum it all up, it provides a 750 KW-1,020 hp output and a 940 KW- 1,278 hp with 1,620 Nm torque. As for the price, it starts somewhere in EUR 500,000 to 1,000,000.
