Custom BMW i8 Dark Knight Edition is Sure to Make Batman Proud

The BMW i8 is already an impressive car by its own right, but a Japanese car tuning company have pushed the boundaries of design even further by outkitting the car to look like it just came out of a Batman movie. Dubbed appropriately as the BMW i8 Dark Knight Edition, the caped crusader is sure to appreciate this real beauty.

The Dark Night body work was done by Japanese tuning firm Energy Motor Sport, according to BMW Blog. This is not the first i8 to come out of the firm's garage, in fact, the team behind the BMW i8 Dark Knight Edition have been outkitting cars for several years now. The company said that its newest project is a tribute to the "Batman Dark Knight" series which stars Christian Bale and directed by Christopher Nolan.

The i8 Dark Knight edition started out as a plug-in hybrid kitted with a dynamic kit from EVO. The i8 Carbon Edition sports a redesigned front bumper, rear and front fenders, rear flippers, and a stunning rear wing.

Energy Motor Sport said that buyers can opt in to just pick up bits and pieces of the custom body work, or they can go all-in with the full carbon fiber package, according to Car Scoops. There is the Standard Edition BMW i8 Dark Knight, and among the custom add-ons include a 21-inch wheel set, custom exhaust system, and several upgrades on the interior including leather seats.

On the interior, upgrades like full carbon fiber panel are also available. Color option is limited to a combination of black, matte and gloss purple. The paint combination creates a dark and futuristic aura to the car.

The BMW i8 Dark Knight Edition does not sport any upgrades under the hood. Nevertheless, the final output is still breathtaking and is sure to turn some heads.
