‘Friday the 13th: The Game’ Release Date & Updates: Gruesome Trailer Shows Jason Sporting Different Looks

Jason is back in "Friday the 13th: The Game" trailer and see how the iconic killer demonstrates creative ways to kill camp counselors and teens. Gun Media treats gamers to a 4-minute gameplay for the upcoming title including some new looks for Jason.

Opening the trailer, which you can watch below, is an 80s-inspired logo intros and then an eerie scenes from the game's new map set to a hard rock song entitled "Killer."GameRant points out that similar with other previous trailers, the new "Friday the 13th: The Game" trailer highlights the ways in which Jason Voorhees executes the camp counselors.

There are creative ones to very nasty ones. In fact, Gun Media didn't overdo with over-the-top fatalities but gave Jason a fitting "Friday the 13th" vibe. Some of the killings took inspiration from the Jason movies, while the others are completely original.

Along with a new gameplay trailer, Gun Media also unveiled Jason's new look. Tom Savini, the guy who served as special effects and makeup artist for the original "Friday the 13th" movie, came up with the "Jason in Hell" design. This is the latest and newest Jason model created ever since the 2009 "Friday the 13th."

And if you have noticed throughout the trailer, Jason sports different outfits. There is a Utility Jason, Baghead Jason, Jumpsuit Jason, and Zombie Jason. His outfits are a nostalgic throwback to the classic films to which the game was based.

"Friday the 13th: The Game" features an asymmetric multiplayer wherein the rest of the players are campers while one player will be Jason. According to CinemaBlend, pre-orders are currently available for "Friday the 13th: The Game" if you want to be the first one to try out the 80-inspired slasher series. However, there is no solid release date for the game. The studio confirmed, though, that it will be released on Steam this year.

"Friday the 13th: The Game" will be available on all consoles including PC, Xbox One, and PS4. So, what do you think of the latest gameplay trailer featuring the Jason Voorhees we know and fear and love at the same time.
