Nintendo NES Classic Edition Update: Stocks Available In GAME Stores, But Not For Long; Nintendo Increasing Production

Many have been praying for a Nintendo NES Classic Edition stock boost since its initial outing last year. But this ever-elusive classic console can't simply give people a break. It appears GAME stores in the UK receive a surge of stocks but don't expect them to last long.

The DailyStar reported yesterday that GAME stores in the UK Twitted that they have "limited NES units" available for buyers. But this is strictly a "first come, first served" basis. The report furthered that those branches located from Middlesborough to Ilford in London took to Twitter and teased potential buyer a handful of Nintendo NES Classic Edition.

Meanwhile, Express UK points that Tesco, Argos, and Amazon suppliers are beginning to replenish their own stash of the elusive classic console. In fact, the Nintendo NES Classic Edition has been available in small amounts in Tesco and it was back in stock on March 2, but not for long.

For those opting to order online, you actually can. For example, you can place an order for the classic console on GAME's official website, but you will receive a notification that the company "[has] not received official confirmation of the next stock delivery of this product." Don't get your hopes up just yet.

Tatsumi Kimishima, the president of Nintendo, apologized for the short supply of the classic console. He assured that there will be increased production, soon.

He explained that because some of the parts are difficult to acquire, they are having trouble keeping up with the demand. "Some parts require time to procure, but we are working to increase production," Kimishima added. At least the company isn't stopping production of the classic console.

The Japanese company is clearly trying to keep up with the demand of the Nintendo NES Classic Edition so fans could experience the retro gaming experience. The console originally costs around $60, but prices could spike as high as double the original price. And the console comes with 30 built-in games.

We will keep you up-to-date with the latest stock updates for Nintendo NES Classic Edition. You can also utilize the following platforms Stock Informer, BrickSeek, and NowInStock for notification on the console's availability.
