Google Nexus 7 2017 Tablet Boasts Great Specs, OS, and New Features; Coming at the End of the Year?

Google Nexus 7 2017 is highly-anticipated for this year. The new tablet is expected to have great new specs, a robust operating system, and all new features.

Evan Blass, famous tech Tweeter @evleaks, has fired up the Android community. The internet personality leaked a brand new tablet last year. He uploaded a document that showed specs for an upcoming Nexus 7 this year. The previous iteration of the tablet was available several years ago, and the new Google Nexus device is highly anticipated!

According to a report by Gigjets, Google has yet to acknowledge the new Android tablet's existence. However, the internet is abuzz with speculations and rumors about the upcoming Nexus 7. The most likely features from the report are available below.

The new Google tablet will probably arrive somewhere toward the end of 2017. Last year, a "pure" Android tablet was expected to arrive, but it never happened. Many people believed Huawei would make this happen, but apparently, they did not see eye-to-eye with Google.

The reason for the year-end rumor comes from Google's history of unveiling devices at the end of the year. Last year, the world saw the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones come out in October. Moreover, considering that no official announcements have come out and it's already spring, it is highly likely to come out at the end of the year or even next year.

The Google Nexus 7 2017 is rumored to have an "Andromeda OS," according to the report. This brand new operating system is supposedly a combination of the Chromebook OS and the Android OS. The Andromeda OS will give the Nexus 7 2017 the same capabilities as a PC. Apparently, Google is doing this to rival what Microsoft is doing with Windows 10 and Windows Mobile.

In another report by MobiPicker, the new tablet will reportedly feature a 7-inch AMOLED display with 2,560 x 1,440 pixel resolution. It will likely have a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4 GB RAM, and 64 GB of internal storage. Reports also hinted a 13 megapixel for its rear camera but no mention of any front-facing camera.

Additionally, the new Google Nexus 7 2017 tablet could feature a USB Type C. Virtual reality may also be available for the new tablet.

Finally, in the same report by MobiPicker, there could even be a possibility that the Nexus name could be gone altogether. Apparently, the new tablet may carry the Pixel logo and will be a Pixel tablet instead. If this is the case, it will likely have Google Assistant, Pixel Launcher, and unlimited photo storage.

The new Google Nexus 7 2017 is a much-awaited high-end tablet that will come at the end of the year. Will it be a Nexus or a Pixel and what specs will it have? Could the Andromeda OS really happen? Share your thoughts and comments below.
