Game Of Thrones Season 7 Spoilers, News and Updates - Brace Yourselves, A New Character Is Coming

Game of Thrones Season 7 spoilers suggest that a new character is coming to the much-awaited show. HBO's hit TV show is set to return this July, according to actor Liam Cunningham.

As for the new character, the HBO network announced that Oscar winner Jim Broadbent will have a "significant" role in the GoT Season 7. Broadbent is famous for his crucial roles from the Harry Potter films to Moulin Rouge! And even Bridget Jones.

The British actor recently talked about his character on the hit TV show with ScreenCrush. In the interview, Broadbent was only meant to discuss his upcoming drama The Sense of an Ending.

However, the interviewer slyly asked Broadbent about his role on GoT. At first, he was coy about his GOT character and eventually spilled some details. He said, "I am a master, an archmaester. I am an old professor character."

This gives fans an inkling on what Broadbent's role could be on the show. After all, he has already played an old professor in films before.

Not only that, but the actor even spilled more details about Game of Thrones season 7. He said that he is set to appear in five of the seven episodes this season.

"I did five episodes. Did sort of one major scene in each episode," he said. This could only mean that his character will play a crucial role in the story.

Since Broadbent is one generous actor, he even told the interviewer details about his scenes. Particularly his upcoming scenes with John Bradley's Sam Tarley.

For those who are wondering, it is highly possible that Broadbent's character is Maester Marwyn. Naturally, he didn't reveal nor confirm his character's actual name. But the hints are enough.

It could either be Maester Marwyn or another maester from George R.R. Martin's book series whose name is yet to be revealed. The last time fans saw Sam was when he was trying to learn to become a maester.

Broadbent could be the archmaester who will help Sam. And GoT Season 7 will likely pick up from where Broadbent's archmaester character will meet some.

HBO has yet to reveal the exact Game of Thrones season 7 air date, but actor Liam Cunningham announced it could be July this year. Stay tuned to Auto World News for more updates.
