Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Will See April Release Date, Surface Dial, Rechargeable Surface Pen, HoloLens Support, and More?

The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is the highly anticipated 2-in-1 device from the Redmond-based tech giant. It will likely be the ultimate 2-in-1 device complete with even better features than its predecessor.

International Business Times revealed that the upcoming 2-in-1 device will likely have six important features to look out for. The first is the Windows 10 Creators Update. According to the report, the new update will be the company's biggest since Windows 7.

The new update will likely bring a specialized Game Mode with Beam and improved privacy settings. In addition, it will likely feature safer web browsing along with Microsoft Wallet. The Surface Pro 5 will likely launch with the update pre-installed. This will probably be Microsoft's way of setting itself apart from other 2-in-1 devices.

Another new feature is HoloLens support. While it was earlier believed that HoloLens support would not be offered, it now seems that it could be available.

Another nifty accessory is the Surface Dial. This announcement came at the company's event in October of last year. It costs $99 and is a Bluetooth-enabled dial that allows users to scroll and use applications seamlessly. This device was made for the Surface Studio but will likely be available for the Surface Pro 5 as well as an added come-on for corporate users.

Another expected feature is a 4K screen with a detachable display, as reported by Ecumenical News. This new feature will be a big help for graphics creation for artists and creatives.

A rechargeable Surface Pen and dock could also be available. First reported in January, Microsoft has apparently filed a patent for a rechargeable Surface Pen and dock which could be possible in the Surface Pro 5. It will have similar functionality to the iPad Pro's Apple Pen.

Finally, the upcoming Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will have a Kaby Lake Processor with 16 GB RAM. This performance-intensive tablet could also have USB-C support as well as multiple device connection capabilities.

The new Surface Pro 5 could come out next month already. Hopefully, it will be all it is cracked up to be. How do you think it will compare to the upcoming iPad Pro 2?
