All the speculations surrounding the upcoming iPad Pro 2 have been so sketchy lately. Many Apple fans have been waiting for any updates regarding its release. Long-standing predictions suggest that three variants will be offered, including a 10.5-inch variant that's been previously leaked. "We've got some exciting things coming on iPad, and I'm optimistic about where things are headed." Apple's CEO, Tim Cook, stated just a week ago.
Cook's statement resulted in several speculations that three new variants will be offered once iPad Pro 2 releases. The options available are 9.7 inches, 10.5 inches, and 12.9 inches in size. The 10.5-inch variant is now in the talks due to the alleged leak that showed its 2224 x 1668-pixel resolution paired with thinner bezels and other impressive features.
It is anticipated that a Cupertino-based tech company will be organizing a press event this month, to introduce the new lineup of iPad Pro, aside from the new red version of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. A few tech enthusiasts even claim that the company will also introduce a 128 GB variant of iPhone SE and new bands for the Apple smartwatch.
Adding more to these speculations, Rhoda Alexander, HIS Markit analyst recently stated that the new iPad would have a similar 9.7-inch dimension, along with a larger screen aspect ratio thanks to significantly shrunk bezels. Aside from the smoother navigation and size, other specs are difficult to predict. According to reports, 2017 is the year that the Pencil 2 will be getting some improvements, and the odds are high that it could also be launched along with a stylus pen sometime later this year.
Furthermore, Apple is reportedly working on a more powerful processor for the new iPad. The chip is said to be a successor to the A9X that comes with both versions of the iPad Pro.
Apple has yet to confirm the speculations, so everything shouldn't be assumed as true as of the moment. Expected prices for the new iPad Pro 2 would be $799 for the 32GB, $949 for the 128GB, and $1099 for the 256GB variant. Expected release date is either March 2017 or September 2017.
