Late in February, a leak revealed details about the folding gauge display of the upcoming McLaren 720S supercar. Recently, another leak inadvertently revealed what the 720S will actually look like. People with insider knowledge about the supercar claim that the recent leak is in fact the official photo of the McLaren 720S.

The McLaren 720S is widely hailed as the successor to the beast that is the 650S. However, over the past few months, the motoring community is in the dark regarding details about this promising supercar. With the opening of the 2017 Geneva Motor Show just around the corner, leaks have started to surface.

According to Car Throttle, the McLaren 720S has an internal company codename of P14. The 720S is the first of 15 cars McLaren will release by 2022 as part of the company's Track22 business plan. McLaren has hailed the 720S as a next-generation model, and based on details provided by the company, and tidbits of information from leaks, the upcoming supercar might just live up to this.

The McLaren 720S sports a new carbon fiber tub, a new chassis system equipped with drift mode, and a shiny-new 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine. There are speculations claiming that since the car has a 720S moniker, it is reasonable to believe that it will pack 720-horsepower as well.

Based on some testing data, the McLaren 720S can reach zero to 124mph in 7.8 seconds and pull to a complete stop in 4.0 seconds. This was achieved by integrating carbon-ceramic brakes and bespoke Pirelli tires into the supercar. According to Motor Authority, the supercar can complete a quarter mile sprint in just 10.3 seconds.

The McLaren 720S is expected to make its first official debut at the Geneva Motor Show which is expected to open its doors on March 7.
